• Vitinha’s greatest assets are his passing and his press resistance. He can wriggle out of situations and escape the pressure of multiple opponents. He is skilled at delivering perfect pinpoint crosses into the box. He is also an excellent ball carrier, and it is difficult to stop him when he starts running.
• Julian Alvarez is positionally flexible, he can play in various attacking positions. He perfectly suits Simeone’s style of play. A hardworking Argentine who plays with a fighting spirit and yet is technically excellent. Alvarez is a threat from a set piece as well, both as a creator and shooter and his ball-striking ability has seen him score a few powerful goals.
