Fiorentina goalkeeper David de Gea has disclosed that he can’t wait to face Manchester United in a preseason friendly game
Recall that De Gea, after penning an initial 12 month deal last summer, has recently inked a new three-year contract to 2028.
Speaking with the club’s website, De Gea, who is in England with Fiorentina for their preseason training camp, stated that he’ll be delighted to face his former club.
“The match against Manchester will be very special for me. I played in England for many years and I’m happy to be able to play against English teams and obviously against Manchester.”
“I like the fans, the team, and the city, which is incredible. I’m happy here and I think we can have a great season together. Being here from day one is better for me, I know all the players and it’s easier than arriving late in the transfer window. It’s wonderful to train in this weather, it’s perfect.”
