Jadon Sancho has officially left Chelsea and returned to Manchester United, with a £5 million penalty clause paid as part of the deal.
The winger, who had spent a stint at Stamford Bridge, confirmed his departure and expressed gratitude to the London club for his time there.
“Grateful for the experience. Big love to everyone at Chelsea who made me feel at home: teammates, staff and the fans. Wishing the club all the best moving forward,” Sancho said.
The move marks a return to Old Trafford for the England international, as both clubs finalised the agreement with the payment of the clause.
Sancho was on the scoresheet in Chelsea’s 4-1 victory against Real Betis as they clinched the UEFA Conference League in May.
