Inter Milan are Serie A champions

Inter Milan clinched their 21st Serie A title with a convincing 2-0 win over Parma. Needing only a point to claim the Scudetto with three games to spare, Marcus Thuram and Henrikh Mkhitaryan struck the decisive goals in the success at San Siro. Inter, who last won the title in 2024, moved 12 points clear of defending champions Napoli, which is enough to secure their third title in six years.

Formula One resumes as Antonelli wins in Miami

Mercedes' Kimi Antonelli held off McLaren's Lando Norris in a race-long battle to win the Miami Grand Prix and take a commanding championship lead. The 19-year-old Italian's third win in a row moves him 20 points - not far from a clear win - ahead of team-mate George Russell, who finished fourth on Sunday, behind McLaren's Oscar Piastri. He prevailed in a gripping race, initially staging a three-car fight also including Ferrari's Charles Leclerc before the race distilled down to a tussle between the Mercedes and Norris.

Another final for Barcelona and Lyon in UWCL

Barcelona Femeni and OL Lyonnes will battle each other for the fourth time in the UEFA Women’s Champions League after both teams booked their tickets for the final. The last met in the UWCL in 2024, where Barcelona won 2-0, after losing their previous two in 2019 and 2022. The final will be played in later this month on the 23^rd of May.

NBA Conference semifinals set

The western conference and eastern conference semifinals fixtures are set, as Detroit Pistons will face Cleveland Cavaliers, and New York Knicks will battle Philadelphia 76ers in the East, while Oklahoma City Thunder will tackle LA Lakers, and Minnesota Timberwolves will take on San Antonio Spurs.

Schalke 04 are back

Seven-time champions, Schalke 04 will play in the German top flight next season after beating Fortuna Duesseldorf 1-0 on Saturday to secure promotion. Kenan Karaman’s 15th minute goal — his 15th in the league this season — put the seven-time German champions Schalke on track to return after three seasons in the Bundesliga 2.

Metz go down in France

FC Metz have been officially relegated from Ligue 1 to Ligue 2 after a 2-1 defeat to AS Monaco on May 2, 2026. The loss confirmed their drop with two matches remaining, leaving them bottom of the table and unable to escape the relegation zone. This marks their 12th time being relegated to the French second tier.
