Just In! Wiegman named women's coach of the year

England manager Sarina Wiegman has been named women's coach of the year at the 2025 Ballon d'Or awards after guiding the Lionesses to a second successive European Championship title

Dutchwoman Wiegman, 55, won the award ahead of four coaches, with Chelsea's Sonia Bompastor and Arsenal's Renee Slegers among those also named.

England beat Spain 3-1 on penalties after the final finished 1-1 after extra time to win Euro 2025 in Switzerland as the Lionesses retained the title they won on home soil in 2021.
